The festival is a family-friendly event. In addition to music and dance performances enjoyed by all ages, select venues (such as the Bottleworks and DanceWorks grounds) offer dedicated children’s crafts, activities, and games throughout the weekend.
For the safety and comfort of all attendees in high-density pedestrian areas, pets are generally encouraged to stay comfortably at home. Service animals trained to assist individuals with disabilities are always welcome across all festival grounds.
Cash is recommended. While several venues and vendor booths accept credit/debit cards, some remain cash-only.
Yes! The festival grounds span public city streets and sidewalks, which are generally flat, making the outdoor areas, street stages, and food vendors easy to navigate. Please note that because some of our participating venues and historic church buildings feature original architecture, interior accessibility may vary by location.
Street parking is available on surrounding neighborhood avenues outside the active festival perimeter. Please watch for posted temporary no-parking and emergency route signage.
Important Notice on Accessible Parking: City-permitted permanent handicapped parking placards in the neighborhood are reserved exclusively for the local residents who purchased them and are not for the general public. Please respect these designated spaces.
Admission is completely free! The festival spans 8 walkable blocks in historic Cambria City, primarily along Chestnut Street between 3rd and 10th Avenues. Because parts of the neighborhood are transformed into pedestrian-only zones for the weekend, please follow all safety signs and street barriers while exploring.
Rain or shine, the celebration goes on! The festival takes place across both indoor and outdoor venues, with plenty of covered pavilions, historic church halls, and indoor music stages to keep you dry. Grab an umbrella, dress for the weather, and come enjoy the food and music—a little rain never stops Johnstown from celebrating!
Each of our festival venues arranges for it’s own vendors and performers. Please contact each for the area/venue you are interested in. For a list of venues, please visit our “Schedule” page.
